Topic Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) 

This session will discuss ESG – what is it? What are self-assessments? What are supplier assessments? What strategies and/or tools can organization implement to improve their ESG Scorecard?

Speaker Joy Brooks, PE, CPP – Senior Manager, Air, Climate & Sustainability

At Southern California Edison, Joy leads a diverse team of highly skilled engineers and scientists to ensure the company’s environmental compliance obligations are met while promoting corporate sustainability and environmental stewardship where we and our families live and thrive. Joy has over 20 years of experience in engineering and corporate sustainability and over 15 years of organizational management experience.

Prior to joining SCE, she was a Senior Associate at Ramboll and a Process Engineer/Laboratory Manager at the General Electric Company. She also has a strong analytical background from her combustion and petroleum research at the University of Utah, where she earned her BS and MS in Chemical Engineering. Joy is pursuing a master’s degree in the Sustainability field with a focus on Corporate Sustainability and Innovation at Harvard University.
