The following topics will be included during this presentation.
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) issuing requirements
- Civil and criminal liabilities to consider when using a firearm for self-defense
- Safe storage of firearms and the law
- Safely transporting a firearm
- Law regarding bringing firearms into the state (if someone has moved from another state)
- Recently enacted laws
Speakers
Randall Meyer
Randall Meyer has been in law enforcement for 18 years. While working in law enforcement he has worked full time as an assistant range master. He spent 10 years on the SWAT team, 7 of those as a sniper. He started Advanced Personal Protection in 2011, focusing on preparing people to carry a gun safely in public and surviving deadly force encounters.Joey Mier
Joey Mier attended the California POST academy and has certifications in Level 3 and Level 2. Joey has attended multiple other classes and carries the following certifications: NRA Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun Instructor, Range Safety and Development Certification. He also holds certifications in DOJ Firearms Instructor and DOJ Firearm Safety Certificate Instructor.
