Topic Shifting Safety Performance Measurements from Lack of Injury to Presence of Barriers
Have you ever asked yourself or others how an organization can achieve zero recordable injuries one year only to have a serious injury or fatality occur out of the blue? Does the lack of injury really mean the presence of safety? In this session, we will review the paradigm shift in measuring safety performance, High Consequence Activity, utilizing risk to prioritize your efforts, not all barriers/safeguards are created equal, humans will error, “failing safe vs failing lucky”, and what you can do to be the catalyst for change in your organization.
