Topic Workplace Eye Injuries – Common (and not so Common)
This session will review common workplace eye injuries. Our speaker will also explain a few non-work-related eye issues/latest treatment options including cataracts, corneal transplants and Lasik eye surgery.
Speaker Dr. Jeff Freesemann MD, Medical Director at ABC Occupational Medical Center
Jeffery M. Freesemann, M.D., is the Medical Director and owner of ABC Occupational Medical Center (ABC) in Bakersfield and Delano. He has over 14 years of Occupational Medicine experience. His primary duty at ABC is to provide administrative support, and medical guidance, to the medical providers at ABC. Additionally, Dr. Freesemann provides medical treatment, and claims management, for patients that have suffered a work-related injury/illness. Freesemann is also a Medical Review Officer (MRO) and performs DOT exams as a member of the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME). Additionally, he performs medical-legal disability evaluations as a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME). Dr. Freesemann earned his medical degree at Georgetown University of Medicine and Internal Medicine internship at Oregon Health Sciences University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
