Safety and Compliance Manager

Stevens Transportation, Inc – Bakersfield, CA

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a safety role within the transportation industry
  • Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, HOS, and CSA regulations
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required
  • Proficiency in ELD systems and transportation management software
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CDS) are a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety programs and policies
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (DOT, FMCSA, etc.)
  • Oversee driver qualification files and safety training
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor and analyze safety data
  • Manage ELD compliance and drug/alcohol testing programs
  • Conduct audits and liaise with regulatory agencies
