Safety Manager

We at Pro Safety & Rescue seek a passionate and highly motivated safety professional who understands the importance of integrity to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing safety operations for both our team and our client’s teams. This includes managing our verification and validation (V&V) process, conducting safety inspections and assessments, and implementing safety compliance programs. This role is critical in ensuring a safe working environment for our clients and our team, reducing risk, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Program Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with CAL/OSHA, Fed/OSHA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of safety programs to align with current regulations and industry best practices.

Field Inspections and Audits

  • Plan, schedule, and conduct safety inspections and assessments at client sites.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports of inspection and audit findings and follow up on action items.

Incident Investigation and Reporting

  • Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of incidents and safety performance metrics.

Training and Development

  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and clients.
  • Ensure all personnel are properly trained in safety procedures and use of safety equipment.
  • Promote a culture of safety through continuous education and awareness

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

  • Monitor and interpret new and existing safety regulations.
  • Ensure company practices are in compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.

Risk Management

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate safety risks.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop site-specific safety plans.
  • Implement safety improvement initiatives based on data analysis and industry

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor field safety personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative and proactive safety culture within the team.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between safety teams and other


  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • BCSP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in the
    field safety services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cal/OSHA, OSHA, and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, audits,
    and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to various field sites as required.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional travel to client sites for inspections and assessments.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including office, outdoor and
    industrial settings.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
